What we collect, and what we do with it.

Humanate Creative is a design studio in the United Kingdom. This page says plainly what happens to your information when you use this site. There is no tracking, no advertising and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
Reading the site
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not fingerprint or follow you between sites, so we can see that a page was read but never who read it. The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps short lived security logs of requests as any web host does.
We set no advertising or tracking cookies. While a tab is open, the site keeps two small notes in that tab’s session storage: that you have already seen each opening animation, so it does not replay as you move around, and, when you open one of the worlds in the theatre, which world and where on the page you were, so its Close brings you back to the same spot. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are gone when you close the tab, so a new tab plays the opening again.
The chat
The studio’s front of house, Humo, is powered by Anthropic’s Claude (model claude-opus-5). What you type in the chat is sent to Anthropic’s API so a reply can be generated, and the reply is sent back to your browser. We do not store the conversation on our servers, and it is not used to train any model. Anthropic handles that text under its own terms, which you can read at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
To keep Humo fair for everyone, we count how many replies each visitor gets in an hour. The count is kept against a one-way scrambled code made from your network address, never the address itself, and it deletes itself within an hour, or within 24 hours if the chat was closed for abuse.
If you do not finish and send a brief, nothing from the chat reaches us.
Sending a brief
When you finish the brief and press send, we receive what you chose to give us:
- your email address, and your name if you gave one
- the services you picked, what you told us about the project or the partnership you have in mind, your timeline and your budget range
- any questions Humo passed on to the team for you
- the conversation you had with Humo, which is sent to Anthropic once more so Humo can write the team a short summary of it; the summary goes in the same email
- any references, moodboards or files you attached
It is sent to our own server, which emails it straight to the studio inbox at [email protected]. The only third parties involved are Anthropic, which writes that summary, and Resend, the service that delivers the email. We do not keep a copy anywhere else, and we do not pass it on. We use it to answer you and to scope the work, nothing else. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in replying to an enquiry about our services.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and briefs are kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. If the enquiry becomes a project, the records that belong to that project are kept for as long as we work together and for six years after, which is what UK business and tax records require.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
